Methodology

How We Approach Each Engagement

Every matter begins with a written engagement letter setting out the service, the fee, and the expected scope. Nothing substantive is done before the client has confirmed they wish to proceed on those terms.

Documentation is gathered methodically. Where the client holds relevant material, we advise them on what to assemble. Where material must be requested from third parties — employers, government offices, scheme administrators — we draft and send those requests formally, on the practice's letterhead.

Once the relevant documentation is in hand, we prepare a written position. For reconstructions, this is a summary of the records recovered and any gaps remaining. For scheme reviews, it is a calculation of entitlement under the relevant rules. For dual-track matters, it addresses the interaction between the two schemes.

Pension records reconstruction
Service One

Pension Records Reconstruction

A patient service for clients whose contribution records are incomplete or partially lost — a situation that arises with longer careers, periods of work for smaller employers, and breaks in formal employment. The reconstruction process involves correspondence with former employers, requests to relevant authorities for any preserved records, and the preparation of supplementary evidence such as witness statements where appropriate. The work is unhurried and conducted with care for the client's involvement.

  • Formal correspondence with former employers and successor companies
  • Requests to government and regulatory archives
  • Preparation of supplementary witness statements where records cannot be found
  • Written summary of reconstructed record position

Service Two

Occupational Pension Scheme Review

A focused review of an occupational pension scheme administered by a former employer, intended for clients who want a clear understanding of their entitlement under the specific scheme rules. We obtain and read the scheme documentation, calculate the entitlement under the relevant rules, and prepare a written summary of the position. Where the calculation differs from what the client has been advised by the scheme administrator, we discuss the reasons and possible courses of action.

  • Procurement and thorough reading of scheme documentation
  • Independent entitlement calculation under scheme rules
  • Written summary with explanation of the legal basis
  • Discussion of options where administrator's figure appears incorrect

Fee

฿11,200

Dual pension track coordination
Service Three

Dual-Track Pension Coordination

A specialist service for clients receiving entitlement from both a state pension and a private occupational scheme, where the interaction between the two has produced an outcome the client wishes to have reviewed. The work covers a careful reading of how each scheme's rules treat the other, identification of any provisions that may have been incorrectly applied, and coordinated written engagement with both administrators. Matters of this kind typically take six months or more to conclude.

  • Analysis of how state and occupational scheme rules interact
  • Identification of provisions that may have been misapplied
  • Coordinated correspondence with both administrators
  • Written position paper on the combined entitlement

Fee

฿29,800

Typical Duration

Standards Applied to All Services

Professional Protocols Common to Every Engagement

Confidentiality

All client information is treated as confidential by professional obligation. Files are not discussed with third parties except where necessary to progress the matter and with the client's knowledge.

Written Records

Correspondence is filed and maintained throughout the engagement. Clients may request copies of material held on their file. Summaries are produced in client-readable language.

Candid Assessment

Where the evidence or the rules do not support the position a client hopes to establish, we say so clearly. Engagements are not extended to produce fees where the outcome is not reasonably achievable.

Bar Registration

All legal work is conducted by a practitioner in good standing with the Lawyers Council of Thailand. Professional indemnity cover is maintained for all client engagements.

Response Commitment

Enquiries and client questions are responded to within two working days. Where a response requires more time to prepare, an acknowledgement is sent on the same day.

Transparent Billing

Fees are agreed in writing at the start of each engagement. Invoices reflect the agreed amount. Where scope changes arise, they are discussed and agreed before any additional work proceeds.

Pricing

Fees for Each Service

All amounts in Thai Baht. Fees apply to standard engagements; if your matter has unusual complexity, this will be discussed before any agreement is reached.
